A. Solar months 

1. Marriages should be held only when the Sun is transiting through:

Mesha / Aries

Vrishabha / Taurus

Mithuna / Gemini

Vrischika / Scorpio

Makara / Capricorn

Kumbha / Aquarius

B. Lunar Months

Marriage rituals are not held during:

Mala/Adhika Masa,

Kshaya Masa

ChaturMaas

Pitru Paksha

C. Star Asta

Marriage rituals are not held when
1. Venus is Asta
2. Jupiter is Asta

D. Auspicious Nakshatra 

4th Rohini

5th Mrigashirsha

10th Magha

12th Uttara Phalguni

13th Hasta

15th Swati

17th Anuradha

19th Mula

21st Uttara Ashadha

26th Uttara Bhadrapada

27th Revati

E. Auspicious Tithi’s

Dwitiya (2), Tritiya (3), Panchami (5), Saptami (7), Ekadashi (11) and Trayodashi (13) Tithis

F. Auspicious Days

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

G. Auspicious Ascendant/Lagna and rising sign.

Gemini (Mithuna), Virgo (Kanya) and Libra (Tula)

H. Holashtak

Marriages are not held during Holashtak period which falls in the month of Phalguna, Shukla Paksha – Ashtami Tithi to Phalguna Purnima.
